Save photos on Android
In short: open the gallery in Chrome, tap Save, then Save to Photos. Your phone asks where to put the photos — pick your gallery or photos app.
One photo
Section titled “One photo”- Open the photo and tap Save at the bottom.
- This photo is already chosen. Wait until the button says Save to Photos, then tap it.
- Your phone’s share menu opens. Choose the app to keep the photo in.
The whole gallery or a section
Section titled “The whole gallery or a section”- Tap Save on the bar at the bottom of the gallery.
- Choose what to save: All photos, a section, or This photo.
- Keep the size For phone and social media (2048 px) unless your photographer asked you to take the originals.
- Tap Save to Photos. Photos are saved in batches of up to 20: tap Save N photos and pick the app in the phone’s menu each time.
- Repeat until you see Done. The photos are saved. Tap Stop to quit at any time.
On some phones there is no share menu: the photos simply download, one file each, to the Downloads folder.
A ZIP archive instead
Section titled “A ZIP archive instead”In the same window, tap Download archive (ZIP). The archive goes to Downloads; open it in your Files app to unpack the photos. On mobile data, download a large gallery by section — it’s more reliable.
If it didn’t work
Section titled “If it didn’t work”- Nothing happened after the tap. Tap the button again.
- There’s no Save button. Your photographer has turned off downloads for this gallery, or for your password. Ask them.
- The photos are in a different order. See Why photos appear in a different order.
