Save photos to iPhone
In short: open the gallery in Safari, tap Save, then Save to Photos, and confirm each batch in the iPhone menu. Photos go straight to the Photos app — no ZIP files, no Files app.
One photo
Section titled “One photo”- Open the photo and tap Save at the bottom.
- This photo is already chosen. Wait until the button changes from Preparing… to Save to Photos, then tap it.
- The iPhone menu opens. Tap Save Image.
The whole gallery or a section
Section titled “The whole gallery or a section”- Tap Save on the bar at the bottom of the gallery.
- Choose what to save: All photos, a section, or This photo.
- Keep the size For phone and social media (2048 px) unless your photographer asked you to take the originals.
- Tap Save to Photos. Photos are saved in batches of up to 20.
- Tap Save N photos, then Save N Images in the iPhone menu. Repeat for each batch until you see Done. The photos are saved. Tap Stop to quit at any time.
Where to find them
Section titled “Where to find them”Open the Photos app. The photos are usually dated the day of the shoot, so look for them at that date, not at today. More in Why photos appear in a different order.
If it didn’t work
Section titled “If it didn’t work”- The iPhone menu didn’t open. Tap the button again: iPhone only opens it right after a tap.
- “Couldn’t save to Photos.” Tap Download file: the photo goes to the Files app, and from there you can save it to Photos. When you save one photo in Original size, this button is there too — originals are large.
- I downloaded a ZIP. On iPhone an archive goes to the Files app, not to Photos. Use Save to Photos instead.
- There’s no Save button. Your photographer has turned off downloads for this gallery, or for your password. Ask them.
