Your privacy as a client
In short: you don’t create an account and don’t give your name or email — only the password from your photographer. The gallery is your photographer’s; picsme just stores and shows it for them.
What isn’t stored
Section titled “What isn’t stored”- No account, no name, no email. You only ever type the password.
- No IP address on record. It is held briefly in the server’s memory to stop people guessing gallery passwords, and isn’t written down.
- No tracking cookies. The only cookie remembers that you’ve opened the gallery, so you don’t have to type the password every time.
With a personal password
Section titled “With a personal password”Your photographer may give you a password of your own, with a label they typed themselves, like “Anna”. Then they see:
- how many times the gallery was opened and photos were downloaded with that password;
- the photos you marked with a heart (your selection).
Nothing else — not when you came, not from where, not on which device.
How long it’s kept
Section titled “How long it’s kept”As long as the gallery exists. If your photographer revokes your password, it stops working and only they still see your selection. When they delete the gallery, all of this is deleted with it; backup copies clear out on their own a little later.
Questions about your photos
Section titled “Questions about your photos”Your photographer decides who sees the photos and for how long. To remove a photo or ask what’s stored, contact them.
