Deleting galleries and photos is permanent
In short: deleted photos and galleries are gone for good — there is no trash and no undo. That’s why deleting always asks first. To only close a gallery for the client, set Access until instead.
Delete photos
Section titled “Delete photos”- Select the photos in the grid (click, Shift + click, or a frame — see Ordering photos).
- Click Delete on the bottom bar (or press Delete).
- Confirm Delete in Delete N photos?
Delete a gallery
Section titled “Delete a gallery”- Open the gallery and click Danger zone at the bottom of the settings.
- Click Delete gallery.
- Type the gallery’s title under Type the gallery title to confirm.
- Click Delete forever.
The gallery, all its photos and sections are deleted. The link stops working: the client sees that the gallery is unavailable.
Delete on a date
Section titled “Delete on a date”To have a gallery deleted later, set Delete gallery on in Dates. See Access-until and delete-on dates.
Not the same as deleting
Section titled “Not the same as deleting”- Access until — the client can no longer open the gallery, but nothing is deleted. You can reopen it.
- Delete section — the photos stay in the gallery, just without a section.
- Allow downloads off — the client can still view, but not save.
